So I did skip out on Thursday's gym session, only because i thought it'd be more important to study! So today i went in with a vengeance. Decided to work out Legs, which is usually longer for me because they are bigger muscles. Karen was supposed to go with me, but she didn't.. oh well :)
anyWHO.. i was a bit peeved earlier.. but that was NO excuse to skip the gym.. so for today's gym session.. i mentioned I did legs, and i tweeted on my twitter that i'd post all the exercises that i did today.
Legs:
Barbell Squats - 3 sets of 8 repetitions (50lbs)
Bulgarian Lunges 3 sets of 8 repetitions (20lbs) - I did a quick YT video on my old channel about 4 months ago - just to give yall an idea of what these looked like here;
Barbell Deadlifts - 3 sets of 8 repetitions (20lbs)
I quickly did some light abwork. just went on the machine and did 3 sets of 30 crunches. I have found i feel a real good burn when i suck in my stomach while doing the crunches.
I have so far lost about 20lbs since I started working out in January 2010. (i had been working out on and off prior, but was really never consistent and really was bouncing around with my weight). I'm really proud of myself thus far for actually keeping the weight off. My goal is to lose 8-10 more pounds before my birthday in September.. and i think if i keep my head straight, stay focused with no distractions/interruptions, i'll be fine!
Plus I have my husband to keep me motivated! alright everyone! thats it for today! think we're gonna go to the beach and hang out with my little family <3
P.S. I have received my awesome goodies fro Krystle's giveaway and will do a separate blog (it deserves it!) later today, or perhaps tomorrow!
oh and another P.S.S. lol - i'm going to be moving all my video's from my randomnesswithkhris youtube channel to my new one (Youtube.com/MyFitBeauty) so please don't forget to fix your subscriptions!
Erica is holding a Blogger Anniversary Giveaway over here:
So go ahead and check it out! She's a sweet heart with a lot of sass! :)
She is going to be giving away:
1. An Annabelle custom quad with Divine Diva, Vanilla Chilla, Ebony, and Ka-Ching. If you don't know what Annabelle is; it's a Canadian brand with wonderfully pigmented eyeshadows and they fit perfectly into MAC Palettes. These four colors are my personal favourites because I can incorporate them into everyday looks.
2. Mineralize Blush in Light Over Dark. I got a couple of these at a MAC Sale, just in case you're wondering why I'm giving away this item again. This was repromoted in the Pret-A-Papier collection, and it's pretty!
So i think i'm going to get back into posting my gym sessions.. for those of you who are interested.. and for myself/reference. i think it's always nice to post your workouts and give yourself some motivation.. or whatnot.
I haven't been to the gym at night (on worknights that is) for quite awhile because it was really messing with my sleeping pattern. so i took like a 3 week break from the gym.. only going on the weekends, but it wasn't enough..
so i decided to just jump right back into my routine.. because i have lost 20lbs thus far.. and need to lose the remaining 20lbs (yes i need to, and NO i will not be toothpick skinny - because that is NOT the look i'm looking for!)..
tonight, I had Karen come with me to the gym.. We worked out chest/back. My booty and thighs.. shoulders and biceps are sore as heck from saturday and sunday's workouts! awesome!
Chest:
Dumbbell Press
Dumbbell Flys
Incline Dumbbell Press
Back:
Bent Over Dumbbell rows (no bench this time - will have to do a video to explain this lol)
Low Cable Rows
Barbell Row
and that completed our workout. of course it's very important to stretch before! and form is everything! you can be doing these exercises with the heaviest/lightest weights.. and be sore.. but remember - you need to practice form to prevent from hurting yourself! because if you don't practice your form and do the movements correctly - you'll end up injuring yourself and working out the wrong things if that makes sense..
anywho! i think that's about it.. tomorrow is my off day from the gym since i went sat & sunday.. I'm going to go again with Karen to do some HIIT/Cardio circuit training or the like.. so that puts me back to 4 days a week.. which is good.. i'll lose the extra 20ish lbs in no time!
So the other day, when My husband, my brother in law and our friend Wayne, went to the gym this past saturday.. they decided to take our Flip Mino HD to record some footage of themselves workin' out!
My brother in law Jay is such an amazing photographer, video editor and he's so artsy fartsy i love it haha!
but he made this video teaser and thought i'd share it with all of you!
My husband is wearing the dark/navy blue cut of t-shirt, my brother in law is wearing i think a grey shirt.. and the guy wearing the white t-shirt is wayne (their buddy)..
hope you like the short clip! you can see why my husband is my inspiration, he works hard for it! and if he can do it, he always tells me so can i! :) he's the main reason i was able to lose 20lbs! it's always great to have an idol/inspiration figure to help push you through and motivate you through your weightloss/fitness journey!
So by now, you all probably know i tend to favor wearing purple! :) today monday, i decided to wear my Hello Kitty Scrub top and black dickies pants.. :) so comfy! because I know today is going to be a rough day (monday's usually are)..
so this is the quick look i did for today & products used:
FACE:
MAC Studio Finish Concealer NW25 (under eyes)
MAC Select Cover-Up Concealer in NC20 (redness around nose/ red spots)
MAC Mineralize Skin Finish Natural in Medium
Cheeks:
MAC Goddess Blush on apples of cheeks
MAC Stereo Rose MSF on cheeks
MAC Emote (contour)
Lips:
MAC Easy Lounger Lipglass
Eyes:
MAC Fresco Rose Paint Pot (as a base)
MAC Dame's Desire e/s on lid
MAC Hepcat e/s on crease
MAC Nocturnelle e/s outter corner/slightly on crease
MAC Beauty Marked e/s Outter corner
MAC Next to nothing e/s for highlight
Bobbi Brown Ink Gel eyeliner in black
EYES:
First I started off with MAC Fresco Rose Paint pot and applied that all over the lid with my ring finger. and just a teeny tiny bit above the crease. I then took a Studio Tools Medium eyeshadow brush and put on MAC Dame's Desire on top of Fresco Rose. I then took a MAC 226 Brush and applied MAC Hepcat e/s all over the crease and blended with windshield wiper motions and also upwards to blend any harsh edges. I then took that same MAC 226 brush and took MAC Nocturnelle e/s and applied it to the outter corner and bringing/sweeping it lightly towards the crease blending it. I then took MAC Beauty Marked (with same brush) and put it only on the outter corners.. (to make a "V" shape).. then i took a fluffy eyeshadow brush and took MAC Next to nothing e/s and applied as my highlight on the brow bone and also blended out any harsh edges.
FACE:
So I used MAC Studio Finish concealer in NW 25 and applied it to my dark circles (using my ring finger). I then took MAC Select Cover up in NC20 with a MAC 130 brush and applied/blended on the corners of my nose and redness on my cheek (acne). I then Applied MAC MSFN with a MAC 134 brush.
CHEEKS:
For Blush I used the ELF Studio Blush brush and applied MAC Goddess Blush on the apples of my cheeks. I then took MAC Stereo Rose MSF and lightly went over MAC Goddess Blush. I then contoured with a MAC 109 brush and used MAC Emote to contour.
So My girl Jen is holding a giveaway for reaching over 500 Followers! If you are not following her, you should! She has the most amazing FOTD's and I love when she posts her Monthly Faves!~

So I was browsing the aisle of Target the other day, and Saw these eyeshadows in the Rimmel section. The colors were quite appealing and i didn't really having anything quite like it, and for the price $2.99, I couldn't pass it up!
I only got two colors: Posh Peacock, Spicy Bronze
It has really cute font on it's packaging (i'm a sucker for cutesie font) and the colors itself are really gorgeous!
Here are some swatches:
Posh Peacock
Spicy Bronze
they had some other colors, and for $2.99, i think i'd get them all. only because for days I do not want to use my MAC/high end shadows.. i think this is perfect.. especially how they are singles, and you can bring them with you for touch ups if you wanted to. Plus it's only $2.99 - so what do you have to lose? the colors are rather gorgeous and there is no fall-out! (for me at least - on these two shadows in particular) they have a sort of velvety/satin feel when applied to the skin (when i had swatched them on my arm)..
I cannot wait to actually use them for a fotd/look etc.. :) but so far - so good! I think if you're on a budget and don't have a lot to spend and want to have some colors, these eyeshadow singles are perfect!
Packaging: 3/5
Product: 4/5
Value: 5/5 ($2.99 at my local Target)
Ease of Use: 5/5
Overall: 4/5
Recommend?: Absolutely! like I mentioned - it's great if your starting out with make-up/eyeshadows, are on a budget, or just want some eyeshadows to play around with.. these are perfect for the price!

As some of you who follow my blog regularly, have seen that I had posted about the Urban Decay Naked Palette and how it was sold out the minute it was put online. I signed up to get updates when it would return online. and it just so happened it was re-stocked on My 10 Year anniversary :) and as a gift from My Husband, he let me purchase it online as my gift! (i'm a sucker for make-up, i can do without shoes, purses, etc)..
So I did, and got some free samples as well. So I did a little video on me getting the palette and just quickly showing a live view of the Palette itself in all it's glory and everything it comes with. :)
Here ya go! (Sorry I'm not wearing much make-up - just came from work and was just excited to share the Palette with all of you)
don't mind my little girls in the background screaming haha!
And Here are some pictures/swatches. these are in natural light (no flash) indoors. My skin is roughly NC25. I put these eyeshadows on my arm with NO base (i didn't use the primer potion, to me it's a little chalky on my dry skin lol)
I will have a real/complete review soon. But my first thoughts upon swatching each eyeshadow is - it's very silky/satiny feel to them. not really fall-out like dusty/loose eyeshadows would, they sort of are in clumps, but when rubbed in skin, they are amazingly satiny and smooth. and blend very nicely together. I'm sure they'd be a lot more vibrant with a primer - so on my upcoming review I will do them on with a primer.
there are 12 colors in total:
Virging, Sin, Naked, Sidecar, Buck, Half Baked, Smog, Darkhorse, Toasted, Hustle, Creep, Gunmetal
they come with one mini primer potion tube and one double sided eyeliner. One side is in Whiskey (brown), and the other is in Zero (Black). they glide on with easy and don't budge (on my waterline is a different story lol)..
out of these 12 eyeshadows, Urban Decay says on their box that 4 of them are exclusives (urban decay is known to repromote their eyeshadows in most palettes) so if you don't have any urban decay eyeshadows (this is my first palette) then this would be great for you!
I think this would be great if your into neutral colors that are safe for work/at the office/daytime looks. and the darker colors can easily transition any look into a sexy sultry smokey eye.. these
eyeshadows are rich in texture and consist of matte, shimmer, satin and sparkle finishes. i think from the swatches like 2 are really glittery/sparkly.
So overall, thus far (i have not been able to play with them on my eyes yet) it's a cute little palette. the cover has a magnet in it, so it's magnetic flip top and it's pretty solid. and love the fact it's $44.00 and comes with 12 eyeshadows that are extremely pigmented and lovely, and comes with a duo eyeliner AND a mini primer potion! it's a steal - if you have not gotten this palette and are thinking about it - i think it's worth a try. I might get another one to tote around with me since it's small enough and has a mirror! plus this is my first Urban Decay palette - so really lovin' it. I know it comes out in stores (sephora) August in the US. so keep your eyes peeled - but keep checking back on their website and at Sephora! :)
Hope this was sort of helpful! :) are you planing on getting this palette or any of their newest products?

So I was able to get my mittens on Stereo Rose MSF and see what all the hype was about. It truly is a nice coral color. It looks amazing on the skin either alone as a blush for a nice healthy looking glow, or layered on top of blush to give the blush some pizzazz! lol..
From this collection, I originally said (in previous post here) I was going to get:
•Stereo Rose MSF
But after going there (and actually being the first one to swatch and actually see the collection) and swatching all colors.. I Skipped Hang Loose blush because I felt like it was too similar to MAC Well Dressed. I also thought of getting another blush I think Band of Roses or something, but it was too similar to MAC Dollymix (after reading Temptalia).. so I just skipped out on all the blushes in general. I might go back for it, might not..
I ended up getting these:
Stereo Rose MSF
By Candlelight MSF
Togetherness MES
Style Influencer MES
Jazzed L/S
So I was pretty pleased with my selections. I read on temptalia's blog and from other sources on Specktra.net that Petticoat MSF mixed with Comfort MSF comes extremely close to Stereo Rose MSF.. so I know if I do run out and if I ever run out of Stereo Rose, i'll just pick up comfort MSF lol! (since I have Petticoat MSF)
I did a quick video on my haul and just so that you could see them. And here are also some pictures too! :)
Stereo Rose MSF
Coral with golden/bronze shimmering nuances (Frost) (Limited Edition) (Repromote)
By Candlelight MSF
Golden pink (Frost) (Limited Edition) (Repromote)
Petticoat MSF
Pale rose with gold and amber veining (Frost) (Limited Edition) (Repromote)
Comfort MSF
Golden bronze (Frost) (Limited Edition) (Repromote)
I will have some swatches of these eyeshadows momentarily.
The cool thing I like about the eyeshadows are that you can use them both dry and wet.. (looks more amazing/vivid wet though) and it's not like the older MES that came out like Young Punk MES - tons of fall out when Dry and really bad payoff.. these texture of the new ones are amazing, silky, soft.. minimal fallout to none compared to previous MES..
Did you end up getting anything from this collection?
I was bummed out that the MAC counter (in Macy's) that I went to didn't have the Alice + Olivia collection.. and I couldn't drive the 25 minutes to another location.. But luckily someone from Specktra was extremely nice and did a CP for me for two pigments (Partylicious & Later pigments).. i hope to get them on Monday/Tuesday.
