Gym Session :: 05/01/2012

Hi Everyone! :) Yet another lovely gym session! I'm still super motivated to get rid of this baby fat!


For those of you who do not know, I am a member over at bodybuilding.com (free to register by the way!) and I entered their 'Elite Ambition Challenge' - It's a Body Transformation and the grand prize is 10k!! 


So of course i'm ready to get down to business and make my body transform to the best shape possible! I'm hoping you all will follow my journey because it's going to be a tough 12 weeks (i've got 82 days left!) and will need all the support that I can get!


I had to post some before pictures (meaning what i currently look like.. and take after pictures 82 days from now).. and I'm so embarrassed at how I looked. I know I just had a baby 6.5 weeks ago, but gosh I still can't believe how much pregnancy took a toll on my body.  This pregnancy I only gained 35lbs (recommended is 25-35lbs in a regular pregnancy) so I didn't gain more than recommended, not like previous pregnancies (like my first two) where I gained over 50lbs for one of them =/ 


But I'm motivated more than ever to get in the best shape I possibly can get.  My goal is to lose weight and gain lean sexy muscle!


My starting weight was 153.6lbs and today I weighed in at 150.8lbs.. so fasten your seat belts cause it's going to be a bumpy ride! :)


So today's gym session, one of my best friends Jayline decided to come with me and train.. here is what I did today..



Shoulders:
warm up
1) - Dumbbell Shoulder Press
12.5lbs x 5
15lbs x 5
15lbs x 5
20lbs x 5
20lbs x 5


2) - Dumbbell Side Raises (standing)
8lbs x 8
8lbs x 8
8lbs x 8


- Bent Over Dumbbell Side Raises
10lbs x 12

Back:


- Seated Cable Rows
50lbs x 5
60lbs x 5
60lbs x 5
75lbs x 5
90lbs x 5


- Seated Cable Lat Pulldowns
50lbs x 8
50lbs x 8
60lbs x 8


- Hammer High Rows
45lbs x 12
35lbs x 12
35lbs x 12
35lbs x 12


Cardio:
15 minutes HIIT - Treadmill


I'm still super sore from Sunday's workout! My buns and thighs are sore as heck, but im loving it! time to get dinner ready for my munchkins and me!


p.s. I'm trying to find time when I can (when the little one is sleeping, jasmyn & tianna is at school) to do some fitness videos I had some of you on here and twitter requesting! :)

  2. Hello Saadeh! Congratulations on your pregnancy! August is just around the corner - I bet you are so excited! Is this your first baby? 

    I definitely loved exercising/working out when I was pregnant that it's catapulted me to want to get back into shape sooner! I'm glad you'll be using my blog as inspiration! It means a lot to me that you've stopped by my blog!

  4. aw thanks mama! :) these are actually my lowest numbers since i've been away from the gym... but i'm looking forward to getting stronger as the months go by! :)
